The new Prologue Wordpress theme
The creators of Wordpress have introduced a new theme that seeks to emulate Twitter in small workgroup environments. Prologue provides easy password-protected posting from the front-end, with categorization by project and tagging. Your Gravatar is even integrated.
While we love the theme as-is, we think it resembles Campfire more than Twitter. It would not be hard to modify the theme to allow file uploads. We also were unclear as to why login options weren’t readily available in the front-end, but that too would be easy to integrate. In fact, we’ll go ahead and make these modifications in the near future and post the revised theme right here (unless someone beats us to it).
Alternatively, the message and comment features in activeCollab BC already allow similar functionality, though not as simply presented. This might be a great feature to consider in our upcoming project management re-do. Stay tuned…

June 1st, 2008 at 9:21 pmThanks for the comment. Yes, I made most of the modifications for personal use (file uploads, etc), but there were still some UI things I wasn’t happy with and other projects have taken over my time.
In addition, I find myself using the message/comments features in activeCollab BC more often since they are directly tied into my projects and clients. At this point I’d have to call the Prologue re-do dead. Thanks for the interest. I hope aC BC will work for your project management needs.
