The new site is up!
You may have noticed that we’ve held off on new posts until we had a chance to launch the new site design.
We’ll briefly hit the basics of what’s new:
- No jobs. We felt that there are enough freelance job sites out there and we will highlight them, but there didn’t seem to be a need for us to either aggregate jobs or allow new ones to be posted here.
- Blog feel. We eliminated the commercial site navigational feel and made Freelance Escape strictly a blog. The Resources tab became part of the blog.
- No visual clutter. There was a lot of clutter in the last design, including but not limited to advertising. We’re not saying the advertising won’t return in some form in the future, but we want to make sure the site serves you - the reader.
- We’re hardcore. We had some fun with the logo and tag line. We think this design portrays what the site is all about: helping web designers escape working for “the man” and work for themselves. Rock ON.
